About — The Parent Wealth Guide
Our Story

We’re not financial advisors.
We’re just really tired
of bad advice.

The Parent Wealth Guide exists because somewhere between the third daycare invoice and the second “have you thought about a 529?” comment from your in-laws — someone needed to make this stuff actually make sense.

The financial world wasn’t
built for working parents.

Most personal finance content falls into one of two camps: painfully basic (“spend less than you earn!”) or hopelessly complicated (here’s a 47-step spreadsheet to optimize your tax-advantaged accounts).

Neither of those is useful when you’re a two-income household trying to do it all — build savings, invest for the future, plan for college, and not completely lose your mind in the process.

The Parent Wealth Guide was built to fill that gap. Real information. Plain language. A healthy respect for how busy you actually are.

“We’ll give you the strategy. You bring the coffee.”

— The Parent Wealth Guide

We cover budgeting, investing, college planning, and everything in between — with a particular focus on families where both parents work. Because your situation is specific, and it deserves specific answers.

🎯

Relevant

We write for the parents who are actually in it — dual incomes, school pickups, and zero time to waste on content that doesn’t apply to them.

🤝

Approachable

No jargon without explanation. No judgment about where you’re starting from. Everyone starts somewhere — let’s just make sure you’re moving forward.

💬

Real

We’ll tell you what actually works — and what’s overhyped. Sometimes that means saying something your financial advisor is too polite to say.

😏

Appropriately Sarcastic

Because if you can’t laugh at the absurdity of trying to build generational wealth while also buying juice boxes in bulk — what are we even doing here?

Three things you should
know about us.

01

We’re Not Licensed Financial Advisors

Everything here is for informational purposes. We’ll give you the framework — you make the call, or talk to a pro for your specific situation. We’ll even help you find the right questions to ask them.

02

We Don’t Do Fluff

No “just cut back on subscriptions!” energy here. If the advice isn’t actually actionable for a real family with real expenses, it doesn’t make it onto the site. We respect your time too much.

03

We’re Always Learning Too

Tax laws change. Markets shift. New tools emerge. We stay current so you don’t have to — and we’ll always tell you when something we’ve covered has changed.
